About Neil Dipaola, AutoCamp
Neil founded AutoCamp in 2013 with the vision to make connecting with the great outdoors easier and more accessible for all people. AutoCamp is best known for its upscale Airstream suite hotel rooms and design-forward properties in leading outdoor vacation markets.
The innovative outdoor hotel brand opened its first properties in Santa Barbara (2013) and the Russian River Valley (2016) to critical acclaim and press coverage ranging from Forbesand the Travel Channelto the covers of Sunset Magazineand Los Angeles Magazine. Since opening its Bay Area outpost at the Russian River, AutoCamp has become a favorite destination for couples, families, and Fortune 500 technology companies for corporate retreats.
In 2019, AutoCamp will open its largest and most anticipated location yet, at the gateway to Yosemite National Park. AutoCamp Yosemite will feature more than 100 accommodations in Airstreams, tents, and cabins, a mid-century modern clubhouse, and an onsite pool and pond.
Neil leads the AutoCamp team with a passion for inspired hospitality and an eye for details, always seeking out new ways to create guest delight. He is a past recipient of the California Governor’s Economic and Environmental Leadership Award– the California Environmental Protection Agency’s highest business and environmental honor – for his work to develop prototype net-zero energy buildings. Neil splits his time between San Francisco and Santa Barbara and is an avid adventurer, helicopter pilot, downhill skier, and surfer.
